Our community committees and board are made up of volunteers who generously give their time and talents to help make our community a great place to live.
Why volunteer?
There are plenty of rewarding reasons. Volunteers play an important role in supporting community programs, services, and improvements that benefit all residents. Servicing on a committee or the board is also a great way to learn more about the community, develop new skills, and gain valuable experience.
Volunteering is an opportunity to meet neighbors, build new friendships, and strengthen connections throughout the community. It fosters a sense of belonging, encourages collaboration, and gives residents a voice in shaping the future of the neighborhood.
Most importantly, volunteers make a lasting difference. Their time, ideas, and dedication help improve the quality of life for everyone and create positive impacts that can be enjoyed for years to come.

2027 Budget Process
The Finance Committee and management team are hard at work on the 2027 Budget, taking a close look at current expenses, future projects and expected increases in operating costs. Their goal is to make sure the budget supports the community’s needs today while planning responsibly for the future.
The board plans to adopt the 2027 budget and set the assessment rate at the October General Session meeting.
Monument Lighting
The solar lighting system at the Sonoran Vista entryway monuments is getting an upgrade. The current system is no longer working and has reached the end of its useful life. Cascade Electric has been selected to fabricate and install the system, which will keep the entryway looking attractive and welcoming for years to come. We’re excited to see this improvement moving forward and will share updates as the project progresses.
Morning Vista Development
The Architectural Landscape Review Committee continues to meet with the Morning Vista Development team on plans for a new 18-unit townhouse community located along Rancho Vistoso Boulevard. The project is moving through the review process, and the committee is working closely with the developer to evaluate the plans and ensure they align with community standards. We’ll keep residents updated as the project moves forward and more information becomes available.
Fall Yard Sale
The Board has approved using ZeeMaps for this year’s Fall Yard Sale, making it easier than ever for residents to participate.
Sellers can:
- Add their address to an interactive map.
- List items they’ll have for sale.
- Help shoppers find them with turn-by-turn directions right to their location.
Easy instructions and additional details will be posted on the community website and Facebook page, and an email blast will be sent to residents with everything needed to get started.

Wildlife Ridge Baseball Diamond
The refurbishment of the Wildlife Ridge Baseball Diamond is almost complete. The project is in the final stages, with just a few finishing touches and minor adjustments left to wrap things up.
We’re excited to see this improvement nearing the finish line and look forward to residents enjoying the updated field.
Irrigation Project
The community’s irrigation infrastructure is aging and in need of important upgrades to keep it running efficiently for years to come.
Based on findings from a recent water audit, the Association identified several areas along Maspalomas, Woodburne, and Desert Springs that require improvements and repairs. The board also has approved upgrades for the Siena neighborhood, helping to improve the system performance and conserve water throughout the community.
We’re happy to report that work on the Maspalomas phase has been completed, and the Woodburne phase is nearing completion.
These projects are an important investment in maintaining our landscape and enhancing long term health and appearance of the community.
Bell Tower Artificial Turf Replacement
The Parks & Landscape Committee has been exploring ways to enhance the Vistoso Highlands monument area, looking beyond simply replacing the existing artificial turf.
The goal is to:
- Improve overall appearance.
- Reduce water consumption.
- Create a more sustainable landscape for the future.
During the August meeting, the Board will consider an option that includes replacing the artificial turf with decorative granite, upgrading the irrigation system, and adding new plants to create a more attractive and water efficient entry feature.
These improvements are part of the Association’s ongoing efforts to keep our community looking its best while investing in long-term sustainability.
Fall Event
Mark your calendars! The Fall Event is coming to Moore Loop Park on Saturday, October 24.
Everyone is invited to join the fun as we celebrate the arrival of fall, spend time with friends, and get to know new neighbors. It’s a great chance to enjoy the season and connect with others in the community.
We’ll share more details as the event gets closer, but for now, save the date! We’re looking forward to bringing the community together for a fun and memorable morning.
Hohokam Park
Hohokam Park is getting a fresh new look this year, with several exciting improvement projects on the way.
Planned upgrades include:
- New playground equipment
- Updated site furnishings
- Repainting of the tennis court fence
- Refurbishment of the dog park surface
We’re excited to see these improvements come to life and look forward to providing a refreshed and welcoming space for the community to enjoy for years to come.
Guideline Revisions
Arizona state law has been updated regarding the types of flags that may be displayed by homeowners.
The change includes:
- Military division flags
- Flags of a nation that is designated by the United States as major NON-Nato Ally and was established on May 14, 1948.
The Board will be discussing these updates during the General Session Meeting scheduled for August 27.
Additional information regarding these changes and their potential impact on the community’s governing documents will be shared following the Board’s decision.
2026 Capital Projects
The following capital projects have been slated and budgeted for 2026:
- Refurbish Entryway Monuments at RVB & Oracle Rd.
- Irrigation Repairs on Maspalomas, Hidden Springs and Woodburne Dr from RVB to Wildlife Ridge Park as well as the park – Board selected AAA Landscape for this project ($203,041).
- Refurbish Monument Signage – The board approved the refurbishment proposals for Stone Terrace, Hohokam Park, Somerset Canyon and Monticello Monuments. ($9,776.97)
- Replenish Playground wood fiber at Moore Loop Park ($8,125).
- Playground Equipment Replacement at Hohokam Park ($123,860).
- Park Furniture Replacement – This project would replace picnic tables, benches, trash cans and barbecues at Hohokam Park. ($109,640)
- Replacement of drinking fountain – This project has been delayed due to the current condition of the fountain at Torreno Park East.
- Common area wall repairs.
- Painting of common area walls, rails, bollards and tennis court fencing – The board selected Facelift Painting ($65,815) for this project. This project includes the following neighborhoods:
- St Andrews 1 & 2
- Stone Terrace
- Bella Vista
- Maravilla
- Somerset Canyon
- Stone Field
- Monticello
- Cortona
- Vistoso Crossing
- Replace Bell Tower Artificial Turf – The project to transition the artificial turf to decorative rock was reviewed by the Parks & Landscape Committee and the board will be discussing this topic at the General Session meeting scheduled for August 27.
- Hohokam Dog Park Replenish – Bids are being solicited for this project.
- Asphalt Parking Lots – Sunset Ridge Park – This project is being delayed.
- Drainage Basin Mitgate/Repair – Board has approved Bogardus Engineering’s proposal to assist the association in this project.
- Granite Replacement – This project for the medians located in Center Pointe has been rescheduled to coincide with the La Canada medians and ROW.
