The Vistoso Community Association operates primarily on volunteers, and we are always looking for fresh perspectives, ideas and additional help! Volunteers can help in many ways, such as serving on standing committees or assist by sharing important skills or expertise.
Throughout the year, FirstService Residential staff promote volunteering. Standing committee appointments are typically made after the Annual Meeting in March, however, we use Ad Hoc committees for shorter term projects and goals. For instance, we are considering an ad hoc committee to review that community monuments are in good repair. This committee would work with management to assess and perhaps make recommendations for repair or cleaning or painting. Once the project is complete, the ad hoc committee is dissolved, a short term commitment for a busy volunteer!
The only specific requirement for committee membership is that the applicant be a full-time resident homeowner in good standing. Members are not compensated for their time and effort and must be familiar with the Association Articles, By-Laws, CC&Rs and Design Guidelines.
Want to get involved? If you are looking for a direct way to influence the direction of your community, joining an ad hoc committee is a rewarding way to accomplish that and to connect with other volunteers in your community!
Applications are available at the VCA office or online HERE.
